In Good Condition
This auction is for an early Oneida Ltd. silverplate on copper large
handled serving tray in good condition. The Oneida Ltd. mark of 2
lions and a shield with the letters OL is a rare mark used for a short
time after 1935 when Oneida Community Ltd. changed its name to Oneida
Ltd. The tray has use scratches and a dent which can be seen in the
upper photo at the lower left corner and also some wear to the
plating. It remains a sturdy and very useable serving tray with a
beautiful engraved overall design and rich floral scrolled border.
It is certainly large enough to hold a small tea service or large birthday
cake.
